This department is responsible for all aspects of radioactive materials use at UK. The radiation protection program includes radioactive materials user authorization, film badges and bioassays, survey meter calibration, radiation safety training, radioactive waste handling, and purchasing of radioactive materials. The unit is also responsible for x-ray and laser safety programs.
