The following has been established as the location policy for recycling containers. For additional information on the type of container to use, contact the Recycling Coordinator at 257-8788.

• Containers shall not be located in exit stairwells,
• Containers shall not be located in an exit corridor less than 6' in width,
• Containers shall not be located in a manner to cause an unsafe condition for a physically impaired person,
• Containers shall not be located beneath bulletin boards,
• Containers shall not be located side by side except in individual rooms,
• Containers used shall be demonstrated to be flame resistant (non-supporting self-combustion) and approved by the University Fire Marshal, and
• When located in an area other than an individual room, the container shall be in a "public oriented" area.
